As Captain, I led my team to the World Championships.
I competed in the FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) on the Suffern Robotics team from 2015-19, serving as Lead Designer and later Team Captain.
Each year, we developed a mobile robot to complete varied tasks, such as launching balls into a basket or stacking cubes. Each robot was limited to an 18″x18″x18″ size constraint, 40lb weight limit, and was limited to 8 DC motors.
Our team advanced to FIRST World Championships 3 times, ranking within the top 2% of teams globally. During that time, we won 28 judged awards, including 5x Inspire Award nominations, for exemplary design, performance, & community outreach.
In my Senior year, I volunteered 416 hours across 73 outreach events to educate over 5,000 community members about STEAM. Our team was nominated for the Connect Award at the 2019 FTC World Championships in recognition of our community outreach.
